Star Wars: Return of the Jedi pistol used by Harrison Ford is set to sell for £360k at Las Vegas auction
Solo’s BlasTech DL-44 heavy blaster pistol was one of the most powerful weapons in the galaxy
THE laser blaster used by Harrison Ford’s character Han Solo in Return of the Jedi is expected to sell for £360,000 at auction.
Solo’s BlasTech DL-44 heavy blaster pistol was based on a German Mauser C96 and was one of three made for the 1983 film.
Harrison Ford's character used the iconic weapon as he led a team of fighters in taking down the force field protecting the Death Star. He used the gun on biker scout troops.
The weapon was considered one of the most powerful blaster pistols in the galaxy.
One was given to the movie’s art director James Schoppe after filming finished but he has now decided to sell it.
It goes under the hammer at Julien’s Auctions in Las Vegas on June 22.

Martin Nolan, executive director of Julien's Auctions of Los Angeles, US, which is selling the prop, said: "The Han Solo blaster is one of the most exciting offerings of genuine Star Wars movie prop memorabilia ever to come to auction given the provenance of this piece coming directly from the art director from Return of the Jedi."
The blaster comes with a letter of authenticity from Mr Schoppe.
