TWO fearless fishermen in Devon have managed to land a 22 stone, eight-foot long shark.

The massive female porbeagle – related to the Great White – was caught off Hartland Point on the north coast by John Kruppa and Dan Hawkins on April 22.

In the video of the catch, the fisherman off camera, can be heard saying: "Here you go boys."

While someone replied: "Look at that."

The shark was caught on a charter trip run by Dan who owns Reel Deal Chartered.

Speaking after the fishing trip Dan said the fish was a beauty.

"It's the biggest we've had this year," he said.

"It's been very quiet so far because of the poor weather we've had.

The porbeagle is one of the most common types of shark to be spotted by British fishermen.

Only a few shark attacks of uncertain provenance have been attributed to the porbeagle.
