London Marathon cheat ‘tried to nick my barge in my own clothes’ from Wembley mooring, claims owner
Homeless Stan, who got a gong after faking the marathon finish, is now accused of trying to do a runner with a boat
A CHEAT who faked a London Marathon finish has allegedly since tried to do a runner with a house boat.
Homeless Stanley Skupien, 38, dubbed Forrest Tramp, got a medal after finding a lost number and jogging over the line.
The Pole is now said to have nicked a barge before trying to change its ID with a paint job.
And he is accused of wrecking its diesel engine with petrol.
The blue narrow boat was stolen from its canal mooring at Wembley, North London.
It was later spotted three miles away in Harlesden after a social media appeal among the canal community.
Owner Lawrence O’Connor, 53, then photographed Skupien on board with his official T-shirt drying on the tiller.

The theatre company director fumed in a Facebook post: “He was wearing my shorts, my hoodie, my boots.”
He claims cops fell for Skupien’s excuse that someone had found him sleeping rough and paid him to paint the boat.
But police said the suspect was helping with inquiries.
