Woman’s body found at Beachy Head in hunt for missing jazz singer Hannah Northedge who performed for the Queen and appeared in Hollywood films
The 43-year-old had been staying at a luxury seaside hotel before her disappearance
THE body of a jazz singer who performed for the Queen is believed to have been found at Beachy Head.
Hannah Northedge, 43, who had appeared in a film with Elijah Wood and Sir John Hurt, was expected to arrive home in London on Wednesday.
A body was discovered at Beachy Head, three miles down the coast from The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne seafront where she was said to be staying.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "A woman's body, believed to be that of missing Hannah Northedge from London, has sadly been discovered at Beachy Head in Eastbourne."
Hannah, who trained as a classical singer and won a place at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, advertises her vocal and acting services on a international website.
She also lists her credits as a judge on the TV show Live And Unsigned and has performed for the Queen and Tony Blair.
She says on the website: "I adore all things vintage from the 1920's to '50's including film, clothing, music and history. I have a fascination with disused tube stations in London and Art Deco architecture and designs."
After taking a Masters of Music degree at the University of Surrey in 2014 she became the director of her own company – VoiceCity Vocal Coaching teaching singing privately one to one and in groups and also for several London record companies.
