Local elections 2019 results – what time were the winners declared?

As the results have been flooding in all night we've got the timescale for the rest of the day

BRITAIN headed to the polls on May 2 to cast their vote in the local elections.

Both of the two main parties suffered at the hands of voters with the Liberal Democrats as well as independent candidates making big gains.

What were the results?

Tories and Labour both did poorly but Lib Dems and Greens swept up more seats in the local elections.

Tories have lost more than two dozen councils and over 1,000 seats so far as furious voters slam them for not taking us out of the EU yet

Labour are several councils down and have seen a drop of more seats as their position on the fence fails to win them any more support.

Meanwhile the Liberal Democrats, who are strongly opposed to Brexit, are up more than 600 and Independents had a great night.

Theresa May has been desperate not to talk about Brexit but fuming voters spoiled their ballots to show their fury at her.

The poor results for the Tories could be even worse at the EU elections later this month - which Nigel Farage's Brexit Party is on course to win.
