SADIQ Khan today reignited his war with Donald Trump as he blasted the President's "hostile" attitude to migrants.

The Mayor of London clashed with Mr Trump again - hinting he would like to protest against him when he visits Britain in July.

But Mr Khan confessed it would be "inappropriate" for him to take to the streets when demos against Mr Trump take place.

The two men have repeatedly clashed online over terrorism and crime.

Asked about Mr Trump's upcoming trip to the UK, Mr Khan told ITV's Peston on Sunday: "I think there will be protests.

"I speak to Londoners every day of the week and I think they will use the rights they have to express their freedom of speech. But they must be peaceful, they must be lawful.

"As the Mayor of London it's probably inappropriate for me to join a protest when foreign leaders come into the UK.

"It's important though for me not to be scared to express my views about some of the things he's said."

The Labour Mayor also made a link between Theresa May's "hostile environment" policy on illegal migration and Mr Trump's on views on immigrants.

He said: "It's ironic that the architect of the hostile environment policy in this country has invited the architect of the hostile environment policy in the USA to London."

Mr Khan said he was pleased that Mr Trump's first trip to Britain was downgraded from a full state visit to a shorter working trip.

It emerged this week that the President will come to the UK on July 13, after going to Brussels for a Nato summit.

The full agenda for his trip has not yet been published - but one of Mr Trump's top allies insisted the President will not avoid London for fear of protests.

Last night Mr Trump repeated his criticism of the new US embassy in Nine Elms, South London.

He told supporters: "In the UK, in London, we had the best site in all of London. The best site.

"Well, some genius said, we’re gonna sell the site and then we’re going to take the money and build a new embassy.

"They go out and they buy a horrible location. And they build a new embassy.

";That’s the good news. The bad news is it cost over a billion dollars."
