LEADING Labour moderate Heidi Alexander is rumoured to be ready to quit as an MP.
The former frontbencher, who resigned as Shadow Health Secretary under Jeremy Corbyn, is mulling over whether to take up a role at City Hall with London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
The move is likely to trigger a vicious battle for her safe Lewisham seat between Labour factions.

The MP has been campaigning to keep Britain in the single market alongside fellow Labour MP Alison McGovern.
She was previously full time deputy mayor for Lewisham in charge of regeneration schemes.
Ms Alexander did not respond to calls last night. A City Hall spokesman said: “No comment.”
