Brit woman rescued after being repeatedly raped and held as sex slave in Italy
The victim was rescued after her two-week ordeal in Rosarno, in the south of the country
A BRITISH woman has been rescued after being raped repeatedly and held as a sex slave.
She managed to call her family by secretly using a mobile phone.
They had already called police after they had failed to hear from her in almost a month.
The signal was traced to an isolated house in Rosarno, southern Italy.
The woman, who was living in Germany because of her job, had met a man on Facebook from Mali called Mamadou Jallow.
He convinced her to visit his friends in Italy.
But when there he bundled her into a room and she was repeatedly attacked for two weeks.
Her bank account was also cleared out.
Police have arrested Jallow and two men from Gambia while the woman, from the North of England, is in hospital recovering.
A police spokesman in Rosarno said: “The woman was in a terrible state. She was kept as a slave for two weeks and abused by three men.”
