The group dance around to the song from the hit movie Dick Tracy starring Madonna and Warren Beatty.

In the song from the film - released in 1990 - Madonna repeatedly asks Beatty to spank her.

According to , the video was shot by the parents of Meghan’s childhood friend Ninaki Priddy, 37, now a jewellery maker - who says that looking back now, she's surprised at the choice of song.

She said: “It was so cheeky and tawdry for fourth graders. I was watching it recently and it’s so inappropriate!"

She contined: “If you did it now some kind of Parent Teacher Association conference would have been called. But our school was quite liberal so we had a bit of fun.

“Dressing up like that was a lot of fun for us, I remember our mums having to make our dresses.

"I think we were all excited about it, it was fun and silly," she added.

In another video from the following year, Meghan sings Abre las Ventanas al Amor - Open the Windows to Love - by Brazilian Roberto Carlos in Spanish.

The footage also shows the US actress collecting her academic achievement award and performing in a Kimono as the group dedicated their show to Japan.

And under a banner of 'One Planet One People' the group recite how they are the future and the "lawmakers of tomorrow" before singing the Whitney Houston classic Greatest Love of All.

Young Meghan's time with the group seemed to have had a lasting effect on her as the US actress went on to find fame in a series of roles before landing the character of Rachel Zane in the hit series Suits.

The clip re-emerged just weeks before actress Meghan weds Prince Harry on May 19 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The besotted couple announced their engagement in November last year.
