The racegoers were travelling back from Aintree to Liverpool city centre, after enjoying the first day of the Grand National Festival.

The impromptu rave yesterday starts with the DJ declaring: "This is not any normal carriage. This is the disco boy rave carriage.

"Ladies and gentlemen come this way then we can all have more space."

The revellers are seen jumping around to the music, singing along, and shouting "lets go, lets go" and "oi oi oi" back to the DJ after he calls "oggy oggy oggy".

The DJ wearing a hi-vis yellow jacket, sunglasses, fur hat and short bright purple and pink shorts looked thrilled as the crowd jumps around and dance in the middle of the train.

One unlucky festival-goer in a pink coat looks shocked and embarrassed as her shirt pops open whilst she bounces around with the other festival goers.

The DJ keeps the crowd going by shouting "I said bounce baby bounce" and later "when I say Mersey you say rail".

The festival is known for racegoers having brightly coloured outfits and doesn't have the same strict code that is enforced at Royal Ascot.

The video follows racegoers getting off to a boozy start on the first day of the festival.

More than 150,000 people are expected to enjoy the festivities over the course of three days which culminate in the world's most famous race on Saturday.
