A WOMAN has been hospitalised after she was stabbed in the BACK at a house in Manchester.
A teen has been arrested following the incident, as neighbours reported seeing "an argument" at the property.
Greater Manchester Police were called to a house on Plantation Street in Abbey Hey, Manchester at around 1am on Sunday morning.
The 30-year-old victim suffered serious injuries to her neck, and was taken to hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Forensic officers were seen entering the small terraced house on the cobbled street earlier this morning, with a police van and car outside.
Neighbours have reported seeing "an argument" on Saturday morning between a woman and two men, with further heated activity was also seen later in the day, with one neighbour saying they heard "shouting" in the afternoon.
One neighbour added: “To he honest I’m not very shocked to hear what has happened.”
A spokesman for GMP said that a woman, who is 19, has been arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault – causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and is currently being quizzed by police.
They said: “Shortly after 1am on Sunday, police were called by the North West Ambulance Service to reports that a woman had been stabbed on Plantation Street in Gorton.
“A 30-year-old woman has been taken to hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
“A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. She remains in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing.”
