ERIC Bristow’s devastated partner paid tribute to the darts legend yesterday — calling him her “treble 20 forever man”.
Rebecca Gadd, 39, was left heartbroken when the sports star died aged 60 following a suspected heart attack on Thursday night.
He collapsed in a car park as he left a darts event at Liverpool’s Echo Arena to drive to their home in Leek, Staffs.
Rebecca, who met the I’m A Celebrity star at a 2011 event for darts TV programme Bullseye, said: “On behalf of everyone in the Bristow family we would like to thank everyone for their kind words about our Eric.
“He will always live on through the darting family throughout the world.
"My treble 20 man forever more.
“A man who had more rabbit than Sainsbury’s, who now gives us a rest.”
Before dating Rebecca, Eric was married to Jane Bristow from 1989 to 2005. They had kids Louise, 17, and 15-year-old James.
