Today a police cordon remained in place as forensic officers removed bullets lodged in a wall and a front window of terraced homes in Tottenham, north London.

Phil Yassein, 33, whose home remains cordoned off as investigators extract a bullet lodged in a wall cavity, said it took about 30 minutes before anyone realised Tanisha had been shot.

He said he heard members of the group shout Tanesha had been shot but her friends called her a "drama queen" after seeing "no blood".

Mr Yassein said he had been with his wife in the living room of the end-of-terrace house when he heard a 'loud bang."

It is not known who those in the footage are, but the video was shared widely online with many people claiming it led to the shooting in Tottenham which claimed Tanesha's life.

The 17-year-old, a mentor at her local youth club for troubled teens, is London's 48th murder victim this year.

She died in her mum's arms, after being shot in a drive-by attack as she was "chilling out" with friends.

Just 25 minutes after she was gunned down, and only three miles away, a 16-year-boy was shot in a separate incident in Walthamstow.

He died last night to become the 49th victim of London's deadly street violence epidemic.

Police are now said to be probing links between the shooting, the milkshake brawl video and gangs in Wood Green.

Cressida Dick, the Metropolitan Police commissioner, has  that social media was driving young people to violence, as gang rivals "goad" each other online .

Last night Tanesha's distraught mum laid flowers at the scene of her murder after vowing the teen would be with her "wherever I go".

Her mother, Sharon, was pictured arriving with a man and another girl, thought to be Tanesha's  younger sister, holding bunches of flowers in tribute to the tragic teen.

Returning to the scene this morning, Sharon left a heartbreaking message Tanesha, saying: "To my baby Neesha I’m going to miss you so much you’re always going to be with me wherever I go."

Emotional scenes unfolded on the street today as Tanesha's family were overcome with grief at the tragedy.

Her distraught uncle Wayne had to be held back as he yelled: "You took a young girl's life, you need to be dead" while visiting the murder scene this afternoon.

Tanesha's aunt Rita also visited the scene, breaking down as she left flowers for her 17-year-old niece.

Speaking to media, Rita said: "We're going to stop these shootings we're going to stop these stabbings.

"It's not good enough, my niece is gone now. I'm going to bring the whole area to a standstill. My sister is in turmoil, it's terrible."

Other friends have been left grief-stricken by the loss of the 17-year-old, who was a volunteer at nearby Bruce Grove Youth Centre where she worked with children as young as ten.

Pals took to social media to share tributes to the young woman, with one writing: "Rest in perfect peace beautiful, this was an unfair act of cruelty & you was taken from us."

Another stunned pal said: "What is going on in ends man? This is really getting ridiculous now, man are really taking innocent people's lives wtf. She didn't deserve to go like that, rest in power tanesha."

School friend Candice Hassan, 17, who went to Glasemore School in Tottenham, north London, said: "I went to school with her, she was a nice girl, a good girl.

"She was obviously a known girl, everyone in Tottenham knew who she was.

"Tanesha was humble, she was at the wrong place at the wrong time and did not deserve any of that.

"I heard about her death through Snapchat and then I got a phone call, it is shocking, everyone is so upset.

"Just before her death I saw her Snapchat, she had posted at 8.30pm, an hour before she got shot.

"She was just starting her life, she had not even turned 18 yet."

Another friend told The Sun Online: "All who remember Tan at her primary school are heartbroken and our thoughts are with her family and friends.

"When will this madness end?"

Yesterday Tanesha's best friend, Tyesha Mingo, 21, recounted how she rubbed the teen's back after the fatal shooting.

Her friend said: "I tried to save her, she was a good girl, no trouble.

"I was telling her 'everything is going to be okay, I just kept repeating that."

A woman who knew the murdered girl said the victim was "just chilling with her friends" when she was shot from a car for "no reason at all".

London's shocking orgy of violence continues as teenage girl is shot dead in Tottenham and becomes the 47th victim this year

She said: "She was 17, she did not deserve that and her mum did not deserve to watch her daughter die.

"Her mum came before the paramedics, she was screaming and shouting."

Distressed Tyesha said that she had been called to the scene after hearing pals scream "Tanesha's been shot" just after 9.30pm last night.

She said: "Apparently the car just pulled up and then started shooting from the window."

It is claimed the teen was an innocent bystander gunned down in crossfire between rival gangsters, and pals of Tanesha deny she was connected to any gangs.

The teen's death came as it was revealed London has overtaken New York in murder rates this year.

People living in the street where the teenage girl was shot said they heard three loud bangs, and saw the victim covered in blood sat with friends before cops and medics arrived.

Another said: "I heard the bangs because I sleep in the front room. I thought it was a bomb.

"It's not nice - so many drugs, stabbings, cycles up and down - no respect for people any more."

A local cab driver said: "It is a war here, this is not the first time there has been a shooting.

"She was killed for no reason at all."

Street deaths in the capital in February and March soared to 37 - with the majority stabbings.

Cops confirmed yesterday morning there has been no arrests and they did not believe the shootings to be linked.

A spokesman confirmed her death and said they had been called to Chalgrove Road, just after 9.30 last night to reports of a shooting.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found the teenage girl suffering from a gun shot wound.

"Despite the best efforts of the emergency services she was pronounced dead at the scene at 22:43 hours.";

Eight murder investigations were launched in January, 15 in February and 22 in March.

As of April 4, 2018, there have been 49 murders in the capital - the first of the year took place at around midnight on December 31, 2017.

The Met police and Sadiq Khan are under increasing pressure to put an end to the bloodshed.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
