Prince Harry’s drug-shamed army regiment will line chapel steps at his wedding to Meghan Markle
TROOPERS from Prince Harry’s old unit the Household Cavalry will form the guard of honour at his wedding despite a drugs scandal, it was confirmed yesterday.
They will line the steps of Windsor’s St George’s Chapel as Harry and Meghan Markle pose for the world’s media after the ceremony.
The Sun told this week how eight Household Cavalry squaddies had tested positive for drugs, including cocaine.
The positive results came from a mass drugs test after four troopers from the Cavalry - which includes Harry’s former regiment the Blues and Royals - were caught snorting cocaine in a pub loo.
The Ministry of Defence yesterday announced units with close links to Harry had been chosen for the wedding celebrations.
He served as a Captain in the Blues And Royals, one of two regiments in the Household Cavalry.
