THEY are the invites that have had everyone staring at their mailbox for days.
But members of Meghan Markle's own American family have revealed they haven't been invited to her upcoming nuptials - despite thousands of members of the public set to attend the royal event of the year.
Meghan's nephew Tyler Dooley and his mother Tracy spoke on Good Morning Britain from Medford, Oregon, saying they weren't expecting an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding, but were excited for their actress turned royal big day at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
Tyler said: "We’ve not got anything yet. At this point, who knows? This all goes back to Meghan, it’s her day and her happiness."
Tracy, who was married to Meghan's half brother Thomas Markle Jr, added: "I don't think we're going to get an invitation, and that's fine.
"We're OK with that and we're supporting her. We're so proud of her."
She said she was sure that "plans were in place" for Meghan's father Thomas to walk her down the aisle, adding: "I don't think he's waiting for his invitation, because I'm sure they already have the plans in place, and for me talking to him he's very excited to be a part of it."
Tyler and Tracy haven't spoken to Meghan for several years.
Instead of attending the big day in May, the pair will instead fly over to the UK to be part of Good Morning Britain's coverage of the wedding.
But the pair were met with a mixed reception by Good Morning Britain viewers, with one viewer saying: "Why would you expect an invitation if you've not spoken to them for years??"
Another added: "She's not close to them!! Who invites every single one of their relatives to their wedding??"
But others leapt to the defence of the mother and son pair, with one saying: "This is sooo wrong!!! Proper out of order. It’s her family!!! Family comes first!!!"
Meghan and Harry have been keeping tight lipped about the guest list – so beyond knowing that the likes of The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William will be invited, there haven't been many confirmed names.
The invitations were printed on March 22, suggesting that the guest list has now been finalised.
The loved up couple will invite 2,640 members of the public on the day including
Around 600 people have been invited to the actual service, which takes place at St George's Chapel on May 19.
