The 22-year-old, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of murder.

While formal identification is yet to take place, detectives believe the victim is Beniamin Pieknyi, from Milton Keynes.

The Met police said in a statement: "He was further charged with three counts of robbery, one count of theft and possession of a bladed article.

"He was remanded to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates Court on a date to be confirmed."

The cops, from Forest Gate North’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team, posed together for the snap outside the Stratford Centre in east London.

They captured the grinning picture: "Crime scene at Stratford Mall today."

But the snap has sparked fury as Beniamin Pieknyi, 20, had died in his friend's arms at the same spot after being chased down and knifed just 36 hours earlier, reports.

It was the eighth killing in London in the past eight days.

Twitter users blasted the officers for the picture, which was later removed from the Forest Gate North account page.

It comes after The Sun revealed how stressed put cops are going to be "yoga days" off a year.
