Brexit Secretary David Davis forced to take a SICK BUCKET to TV interview after getting food poisoning from a dodgy sarnie
The Tory minister had to be walked to his chair on the Andrew Marr Show today and was quickly led off after the interview due to a dodgy tummy
QUEASY Brexit Secretary David Davis had to take a bucket onto a TV show today - after being struck down by food poisoning.
Panicked BBC staff put a black bucket and a box of tissues next to the Tory veteran - who has spent the past year in exhaustive talks with the EU.
Insiders claimed he even had to be walked to his chair on the Andrew Marr Show after throwing up all morning.
As he was introduced by the presenter, the clearly unsteady Cabinet minister joked: “If the camera suddenly switches to you, you’ll know what’s happened.”
Aides today blamed a dodgy sandwich.
Mr Davis - a self-styled SAS-trained hardman - got through the ten-minute segment on the programme and even managed to discuss fishing.
One source said: “How he coped I’ve no idea.
"He had to head back to the toilets afterwards. It was classic, determined David Davis.”
