Ex-Crystal Palace boss Simon Jordan offers £5k reward over £130k watch theft
The radio presenter and former Crystal Palace club owner, who was robbed by a man on a scooter armed with a handgun, said his main concern is public safety
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has posted a £5,000 reward over the arrest of the scooter gunman who stole his £127,000 watch.
The talkSPORT presenter made the offer as detectives believed he was being stalked for days by his attacker.
Multi-millionaire Simon, 50, robbed at red traffic lights driving his Maserati in Croydon on Wednesday, said: "This piece of trash needs to be caught.
"The watch was of material and sentimental value, but it can be replaced.
"As long as we have a maniac on the loose waving a handgun around, lives are in danger.
"If the reward coaxes someone forward to give information leading to him being caught, it is money well spent, and if I get my watch back as a result, even better."

Police yesterday released a fresh image of the Suzuki scooter used in the robbery of the blue and red faced Franck Muller timepiece, bought in celebration at Palace's promotion to the Premier League in 2004.
One detective revealed: "The scooter was on false plates. This was not a random attack.
"We believe the victim has been marked in his day to day business with his movements being watched."
