Tesco blunder as T-shirt printed with GLARING error – but no-one seems to have noticed
TESCO has been left red-faced after a glaring error was discovered on one of their T-shirts.
The blunder sees the name of an historical British arms manufacturer printed incorrectly.
Where text should read Birmingham Small Arms Company, it in fact reads Birmingham Small Arms Arms Company - with the word 'Arms' appearing twice.
It was spotted by an eagle-eyed shopper following a visit to the supermarket giant’s branch in Ashford, Middlesex, earlier this week.
Shopper Rob, from West London explained: “I popped in the branch and found a new range of T-shirts so I bought three.
“The next day I put one on and it was only when I looked down to my chest that I spotted the repeated word.
“I can’t believe it got through all the checks like that.”
Rob decided not to return the T-shirt to the store for a refund, explaining: “It’s a really comfortable T-shirt and I’m quite an awkward size so once I find something that fits me I don’t care what it says on the front.
“To be fair for eight quid I didn’t really think it was necessary.”
The £8 item still remains available
