Hundreds of notes were placed on the vehicle, with almost the entirety of the car covered in little pink, orange and green paper squares.

One person wrote on Facebook: "I particularly like the back windscreen wiper being picked out in orange Post-its."

Another exclaimed,"Oh wow, that’s brilliant", athough some less amused commentators said they were worried about the potential for litter.

The day after the notes were stuck to the car, a post was shared on Instagram by the 'ballistikcheerleading' account hinting at the person or persons responsible.
