Queen gives her formal consent for ‘dearly beloved grandson’ Prince Harry to marry Meghan Markle

THE Queen has given her formal consent for her "beloved grandson" Prince Harry to marry Meghan Markle.

A court circular published today announced Her Maj had officially signed off on the Royal wedding — taking place 19 May.

The Royals are inviting members of the public "from every corner of the United Kingdom" to the celebration.

More than 2,600 people will be invited, with 1,200 being members of the public who will have access to the grounds of Windsor Castle on the day.

The lucky 1,200 will have an amazing view as the bride and groom arrive and depart the special ceremony.

But Brits wondering how to be among the lucky few can only keep their fingers crossed — as guests will only be approached by royal officials if they are to receive an invitation.

Those members of the public will be singled out for their contribution to their communities.

The royals say they are keen to invite "young people who have shown strong leadership".

"Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle will invite 2,640 members of the public to Windsor Castle on their wedding day to watch the arrivals of the Bride and Groom and their guests and the carriage procession as it departs from the castle.

"The couple has asked that 1,200 people, from all corners of the UK, be selected by Lord Lieutenants, including young people who have shown strong leadership and those who have served their communities.
