Jamie Carragher spitting video schoolgirl, 14, reveals moment suspended Sky Sports pundit spat on her
A SCHOOLGIRL has described the vile moment she was spat at by Jamie Carragher - as the £1m-a-year pundit was suspended from his role today.
The former England defender was forced to watch the shocking footage and issued a grovelling public apology as he fights for his job.
He was filmed spitting through the window of his Range Rover towards a 14-year-old girl and her dad after being goaded in the aftermath of Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.
Speaking about the incident, the girl said: "I have never been spat at by anyone before. I thought, ‘Why has he done that’. I thought I had done something wrong.
“People in school take the mick and it is just a laugh. Someone like him who is older should be able to take a joke."
Appearing on Sky News just moments after he was suspended, Carragher was made to watch the footage as he appeared in a excruciating interview live on the channel.
Carragher was suspended after:
- Footage emerged yesterday of Carragher spitting at a 14-year-old girl through the window of his Range Rover
- Danish TV station TV3 Sport confirmed Carragher will no longer front their Champions League coverage tomorrow night
- Joey Barton said the former Liverpool defender should be sacked from his role
- Vinnie Jones branded him a 'coward' on TalkSPORT
- Richard Keys - who resigned from Sky after a sexism scandal - said 'this will be interesting'
- Carragher was stripped of his duties on Monday Night Football tonight and forced to endure an excruciating public grilling
- Sky Sports colleague and former England teammate Gary Neville backed Carragher but admitted 'he's made a big mistake'

He said: "I have no excuse. My biggest regret is for the 14-year-old girl to be caught in the middle of this, my altercation with the father.
"Because it is a young girl it feels slightly worse to me. I have a daughter of the same age and if someone had done that to her I don't know how I would respond.
"I called the family, obviously they were upset last night. Hopefully the family can accept that apology from me.
Asked if he deserves to keep his job, he replied: "There's no doubt what I have done is disgusting, I'm getting vilified and rightly so.
"I would hope five seconds of madness will not take over everything of what I've done - I don't feel like that's a real representation of me."Carragher added he has not offered his resignation and the future of his role is "Sky's decision".
He said: "I haven't offered my resignation but they have made it known that they are very disappointed about the shame now hanging over the name."
Danish TV station TV3 Sport has also confirmed Carragher will no longer analyse Manchester United's Champions League clash with Sevilla for the station following the incident.

Defender Carragher has since apologised for spitting at the girl, saying: "I would like to apologise for my actions which were totally out of character.
Police can bring assault charges over spitting — or prosecute as a public order offence.
Carragher, 40, has said previously in a football column that players spitting at each other is “vile”.
Vinnie Jones and Joey Barton are among the former pros who have called for him to be sacked over the incident.
Presenter Richard Keys - who resigned from Sky Sports over a sexism scandal - tweeted that the broadcaster's response would be "interesting".
He wrote in 2015: "As usual, there have been a number of people who have said 'it is the worst thing that can happen on a pitch.
"It is vile but let me assure you now I would have preferred Lucas Neill to have spat at me the day he broke my leg in September 2003.
"I was spat at once in my career. It came during a UEFA Cup game against Celta Vigo in 1998 and the player in question was a Russian midfielder called Aleksandr Mostovoi.
