Dramatic moment Jeremy Kyle bursts in on drug dealers as he helps shut down £100k cannabis ring
THE dramatic moment Jeremy Kyle joined police to burst in on drug dealers in raids on cannabis farms has been captured on this week's Kyle Files.
The clip shows the moment the presenter and cops discovered £100K worth of cannabis in a terraced house in Gloucestershire.
This week's episode covered the police crackdown on suspected Albanian gangs and drug factories in the early hours of October 11 last year.
Following an eight-month covert investigation, around 50 police officers raided six drug farms and five other properties, seizing cannabis worth an estimated £750,000.
But in just one property alone, cops uncovered rooms crammed with cannabis plants worth £100K.
In the dramatic clip, one of the teams burst the front door in - only for the occupant to escape out the back.
But as some officers and sniffer dogs give chase, Jeremy and the remaining raid cops uncover the 'substantial' haul in the house.
"It's extraordinary. The thing is, you could just be living in your house and you wouldn't know next door every room is crammed," Jeremy says.
Inside the house, police say the large scale operation with over 100 plants took just weeks to set up.
"This will live in my memory, that light and the way that they've used that house. But this is just the tip of the iceberg," Jeremy adds.
As a result of the raids, nine men have now admitted their involvement in the drug operation.
Krenhmik Muja, 20 of London Road, Gloucester; Dritan Muhametaj, 27 of no fixed abode; Gurgen Nikoci, 21 from Norwich; Bardhyl Arifaj, 33 of St Phillips Close, Gloucester; Ardit Agaaj, 27 of Birchmore Road, Gloucester; Aranit Kasaheri, 34 of Woodford Green, London have admitted the production of class B drug cannabis.
Elis Gashi, 32 of High Street, Tredworth, Gloucester, and Dardan Horhaj 22 of Widden Street, Gloucester, have admitted conspiring to supply and produce class B drug cannabis as well as two
charges of possession/control a false/improperly obtained identity document.
Jeton Muja , 26, of Orchard Close, Gloucester, has admitted conspiracy to supply and produce class B drug cannabis.
The suspect who evaded arrest in the Linden Road bust, which was one of two shown in the Kyle Files on Monday this week, was not captured.
The police action was part of Operation Cleveland, an attempt to tackle Albanian drug gangs, human trafficking and modern-day slavery in Gloucestershire.
