Senior Royals are ALL planning to skip World Cup in Russia

SENIOR royals will miss the World Cup for the first time in a generation.

Sources last night confirmed there are no plans for William, Harry or Charles to visit Russia.

But they said the stance pre-dated the poison plot.

Harry went in 2014, and FA president William in 2006 and 2010. France ’98 was the last time a senior royal didn’t attend.

PM Theresa May said yesterday: “It might be appropriate to look at whether dignitaries should attend the World Cup.”

Experts indicated any trip could only happen on the request of the Royal Visits Committee under the control of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

Former Royal Press Secretary Dickie Arbiter said: “The Government decide, not the royals.”
