RUSSIAN weapons giant Kalashnikov has rolled out a terrifying killer robot tank in breathtaking footage showing it blasting through walls.
The company has released a video showcasing its automatic armoured vehicle assaulting a position with the support of troops.
The video was reportedly shot on a military range in the Moscow region and shows the tank, the size of a small car, smashing its way through buildings.
The Soratnik Companion robot tank is reportedly capable of scouting and patrolling as well as guarding duties.
It is also said to be able to deal with mines and to provide covering fire for troops.
The exact level of autonomy it has remains unclear.
Other new toys for Russian soldiers included a new military uniform called Group 99 claimed to offer insulation even from Russia’s harshest winters.
The day of military testing also featured new motorbikes, buggies and sub-machine guns called Vityaz, Russian media report.
Kalashnikov is most famous for its series of assault rifles including the AK-47 but it also designs and manufactures a wide range of other military equipment.
It makes about 95 per cent of all the small arms sold in Russia and exports to 27 countries.
It comes after Russian leader Vladimir Putin seems keen to show off Russia’s military might with a series of recent large-scale military manoeuvres.
This week, he revealed he has a nuclear missile that cannot be intercepted and can hit any spot on Earth.
