Model Paola Saulino is allowed back on Instagram after being banned ‘over fears she might influence the Italian elections’ – and now wants to launch a political career
Italian Paola Saulino has had her account reactivated after it was taken offline by administrators just days before Italians took to the polls.
A MODEL who promised to perform a sex act on all those who voted in a recent Italian referendum says she was temporarily banned from Instagram to stop her influencing the election.
Italian Paola Saulino has had her account reactivated after it was taken offline by administrators just days before Italians took to the polls.
She claims this was done because of fears she might influence voters with another sex act pledge.
She said: "We just realised who won and my account is recovered... They really thought I might influence public opinion."
Paola also revealed she was thinking about running for political office herself.
"As a patriot of course I've been thinking about joining the political world, but I'm also sure that before going that direction I have to educate myself more.
"Potentially one day I will be entering the politics because I want to help to build a better future for the youth.
"For now I'm going to study more, start looking for people with similar views and together work on my strategy and agenda as a politician to create the best plan that will be in interest of regular people."
Instagram did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
Last month The Sun Online was the first to reveal Paola's Instagram account, which had 430,000 followers, was pulled down by Instagram administrators for "no apparent reason".
She blamed the company for ruining her "pompatour" - the nickname she has given her oral sex tour and movement of "sexual liberation".
Paola said at the time: "I've experienced this problem in the past but my (page) was down for less than a week and the reason that Instagram gave was that I have explicit content on my page.
"Which is obviously was not accurate because I never violated Instagram's policy."
She suggested then it may have been a politically motivated move ahead of this year's Italian elections, given her previous referendum pledge may have swayed voters.
The closure of her account came just weeks after The Sun revealed she was mauled by a dog, causing injuries to her face that prevented her continuing her oral sex tour.
In November 2016 Paola vowed to give all those who voted in the Italian electoral reforms referendum a "present" after the poll.
She later said she started the first leg of her saucy tour in Italy’s historic capital Rome on January 7 and completed the final phase in Palermo on January 21.
