PLANS are being drawn up to curb junk food ads and ban two-for-one deals on sugary snacks.

Action to clamp down on foods high in fat, sugar and salt is expected in the summer.

PM Theresa May had ruled out legal restrictions but is set to make a U-turn, says The Times.

Health secretary Jeremy Hunt is thought to be pushing for tougher measures and has allies in No.10’s policy team.

A source said: “I think it’ll happen.” The plans would see restrictions on ads during kids’ TV extended to family shows.
