A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman of 74 found with suspected stab wounds at her home.
Anne James was discovered by a neighbour on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night and was questioned by detectives yesterday.
A post-mortem was establishing the exact cause of death.
Officers launched a murder investigation in Walsall, West Midlands, after they were alerted by the ambulance service at 6.15pm on Wednesday.
Det Supt Tom Chisholm said: "We have made significant progress with our investigation, but just because we have made an arrest does not mean we do not need people to come forward.”
