A CHEEKY Dublin Airport worker got caught spinning donuts on the runway, as heavy snow has grounded flights this morning.
The worker was filmed by a passenger waiting in the terminal as he spun the airport vehicle beside a stationary Air France plane.
Twitter user Shahid Ali tweeted the airport yesterday, saying: "@Dublin Airport could I have a go? Looks great fun in the snow."
The airport faced delays this morning as operations were underway to clear heavy snow that had fallen overnight.
While the airport said flight operations have resumed, teams continue to clear snow as several flights between Dublin and the UK and Europe have been cancelled or delayed today and passengers have been warned to check the status of their flight with their airline.
But there could be further disruption ahead, as the Irish weather authority Met Eireann have placed parts of Ireland under a Status Red weather warning as the Beast from the East digs its claws in with up to 25cm of snow expected by Thursday.
In the UK, the Met Office has issued a Status Yellow and Amber warnings until Thursday evening as the polar vortex spirals in from the Artic with temperatures as low as minus 5 in some parts.
Major snowfalls are expected to continue throughout the country and cripple much of the travel network.
The predicted 5cm-10cm of snow has fallen in many areas of the UK, with up to 40cm possible for higher grounds in Scotland.
Hot on the heals of the Beast, Storm Emma will sweep across Britain on March 1, leaving swathes of southern part of the country hit by blizzards and strong winds which may cause snow drifts and it is possible the Met Office will upgrade weather warnings to amber or even red.
