Katie Price’s dog was ‘mowed down by a Domino’s delivery driver dropping off pizza to a neighbour’
Police and Domino's are investigating but the driver is said to deny hitting the animal near Price's West Sussex home
KATIE Price’s dog was allegedly mowed down and killed by a Domino’s delivery driver dropping off pizza to a neighbour, The Sun can reveal.
The telly star’s husband Kieran Hayler, 30, rang the pizza chain to complain and accuse their worker of being responsible.
Police and Domino’s are carrying out investigations after German Shepherd Queenie’s death.
The deliverywoman was dropping off a Hawaiian and a Pepperoni to neighbour Helen Buckman, 31, on Saturday before the dog was found.
She denies hitting the animal and is said to have noticed nothing unusual on the dark track as she left in a Toyota Yaris.
Helen – who lives two doors from Katie in Dial Post, near Horsham, West Sussex, told The Sun: “The driver spoke to Kieran on the way in and then found us.
"The pizza was delivered to our front gate. I didn’t see anything.
"It’s a shame. She was a nice girl who dropped off the pizza. The dogs come around to say hello.”
But another neighbour said: “The dogs are a menace they chase all the wildlife they never keep them in.”
Mum-of-five Katie, 39 poured out her heart about the death of Queenie – which Hayler for her birthday two years ago - on Instagram.
The Loose Women star also accused the delivery driver of killing her pet in a hit-and-run in the heartfelt post.
She said: "I'm absolutely Devastated heartbroken my faithful loving family dogs life Queenie has been shortened as she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling us and left her to die very disappointed a human being can be this heartless!
“Security cameras show this and we have reported to police ! DEVASTATED is a understatement(sic).”
A Domino’s Pizza spokesman said: “We were very sorry to hear this news and have given Ms Price our heartfelt sympathies.
"Our investigation revealed our driver inadvertently called Ms Price's property via the security gate intercom, whilst trying to make a delivery to a neighbour.
"Upon realising the error, GPS tracking reveals she went straight to the correct address.
"Our driver remained on public roads and had no access to Ms Price's land. Our driver holds a clean, valid EU driving license and maintains she did not hit an animal.

Sussex Police are investigating. Last November, one of Katie’s horses was killed on the A24 near her home after escaping from a field.
