Streets near Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow on lockdown as cops race to ‘ongoing incident’

STREETS close to the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow have been locked down as police deal with an "ongoing incident".

Police Scotland confirmed officers remained on site at 7.15am today.

Two police vehicles and an ambulance were spotted at the scene alongside what appeared to be forensic officers.

A cordon has been set up and cops were seen heading into a block of flats in the area.

It is not yet clear what the nature of the incident is.

A police spokesman said: "Police are dealing with an ongoing incident in the Copland Road area of Glasgow."

Worried locals took to social media after cops swooped on the scene.
