Last night, cops confirmed the latest foot belonged to missing Stanley Okumoto, 79.

It was found washed up on the Canadian island along the Jordan River by a dog walker - a human foot inside a white sock and black running trainer, with its shin bone still attached.

Dog walker Mike Johns, 56, told  the foot was “totally intact.”

He added: "My dog, she was sniffing the bones so I stopped and took a look, and I saw the bones and noticed it was attached to a shoe,"

It was unclear how Okumoto died.

The leg was found in a section of British Columbia known as “king tides.”

Officials believed the strong currents could have brought the foot from Washington to Canada.

The BC Coroners Service it has been able to identify eight of the previous 12 feet, matching them to six individuals. No foul play is suspected in any of the cases.

The first severed foot was found on August 20, 2007. It was a right foot, size 12, encased in a shoe made in India.

Authorities were able to link the foot to a male who suffered from depression, concluding he most likely committed suicide in or near water.

Of the 18 feet and shoes found, only two have been matched together.

On February 7 last year a hiker found a running shoe that contained a human foot in a sock at Botanical Beach near Port Renfrew.

Five days later, a beachcomber found a second running shoe and contacted authorities.

The Coroners Service confirmed they belonged to the same person, but that person’s identity is still not known.

The shoes involved are men’s New Balance runners, size 12 and blue and black. This type of shoe was first sold in North America in March, 2013, which suggest the shoes’ owner died at some point between March, 2013 and December, 2015.

Most likely the victims died from accidents or suicide, the coroner's office said.
