FOOTIE star Gareth Bale has bought a house and car for his fiancee’s sister after her partner killed himself.

Wales winger Bale, 28, and sweetheart Emma Rhys-Jones, 26, stepped in when Emma’s sister Kate, a mum of two, was left penniless by the tragedy.

A family friend said: “Gareth has bought her a lovely £250,000 place in Cardiff and a nice Vauxhall Mokka to go with it.

“He has two small children himself so it hit him hard.”

Katie and her partner Alex Williams, 29, had been living in a caravan in Bridgend, South Wales. Alex was found in a fume-filled car in November after writing suicide notes on the back of snaps of their toddler daughter and baby son.

An inquest heard he could not cope with the stress of being investigated by social services.
