Who is Alexander Smith? 2118 ‘time traveller’ who has a ‘photo from the future’

ALEXANDER Smith comes from a long line of so-called time travellers who claim its more than just a science fiction fantasy.

So what does he claim to have seen and, crucially, why has he never exploited his knowledge?

Who is Alexander Smith?

Alexander, who claims to have been to the year 2118, gave an interview where he failed to explain how he time-travelled.

But he claimed he had proof in the form of a blurry photo which appeared to show a row of green, oddly-shaped buildings.

He claims this is the skyline of a city 100 years into the future and says time travel can distort pictures.

He says he was on a "top secret" CIA mission in 1981 and thinks the agency is hunting him down after the assignment.

Unlike other people who claim to have time-travelled, he hasn't insisted on his face being blurred or his name changed.

What has Alexander Smith said about 'the future'?

Mr Smith, who speaks in an American accent, warned of "many threats" to the human race and urged people to combat global warming.

He said: "There are many threats to the human race.

"The number on threat to humanity as we know it is global warming, rising sea levels as well as the increase in Co2 in our atmosphere.

"We must take steps now to combat global warming," said Mr Smith who also says aliens first came to earth in the mid-21st century.

Have there been any other claims by 'time-travellers'?

A man named Noah claimed he travelled back in time from 2030, and apparently took a lie detector to prove it.

He made predictions for the future to back up his claims, but struggled to convince the world he is a time-traveller.

He said if his true identity and picture is revealed he would be assassinated for letting slip what the future holds.

And he has now since passed a lie detector test.

He claims he is actually 50 years old but took age-reversing drugs to make him 25 again.

TikToker Javier claims to have travelled to 2027, where all humans are "extinct".

Javier captioned his video: "I just woke up in a hospital and I don't know what might have happened. Today is February 13, 2027 and I am alone in the city. "

"Humanity has been extinct," he continues and "there is no one in shopping centres,

" he says before the recording cuts to an empty clothing store.

Javier often shares updates of his "life in the future" and claims he is "stuck" and is trying to find a way to come back to 2021.

In February 2018 Edward claimed he had been to the year 5000.

A video posted on ApexTV shows Edward describing what led him to time travel, as he sits in what is thought to be an Armenian park.

His face is hidden and his voice distorted as he claims he was part of a top secret experiment in 2004.

During his admission he pulls out a photo from his jacket and says it was taken 3,000 years in the future.

It apparently shows Los Angeles deep under water.

A Greek man, hiding his true identity, in another video that he spent two days in the year 3207 after being shot forward in time as part of a top-secret military programme.

"The buildings were absolutely enormous," he says.

"Cars were flying and there was strange coloured grass, not green but deep purple.

"Aliens, ordinary people, big animals and robots were walking together."

in the same "time-traveller" genre shows an anonymous woman, allegedly from the year 3780, showing off what she says is the actual technology she used to get here.

She describes the artefact, which looks a bit like a big computer chip, as a "skin", although it's not really clear from her rambling anecdote what the tech is supposed to do.

William Taylor, who claims he was a British government employee, said he was sent to the year 8973 in a secret time machine which will soon be released for public use.

Speaking to , he claims to have travelled to a future utopia free of disease and crime.

And Taylor, who says he worked as an intelligence officer in the early 2000s, claims the government is keeping other technological advancements from the public too.
