Mum and daughter battered woman outside toilets at GlastonBarry festival
A MUM and daughter battered a woman in a brawl outside the portaloos at a tribute act festival.
Amanda Penberthy, 52, and Jade set upon Rebecca Johnson, calling her a “fat cow” and “goofy”.
A court heard Jade, 25, smashed a can of Strongbow Dark Fruit into Miss Johnson's mouth and the cider exploded in her face before bouncers stepped in at GlastonBarry, a festival for tribute acts held in Barry, South Wales, with bands on the line up including "Oasish" and "Stereotonics".
The court heard Amanda Penberthy and Miss Johnson were pulled apart by security.
But the fracas exploded in a scuffle involving their families, who had been feuding for 16 years.
Ms Johnson, 33, broke her wrist falling to the floor where receptionist Amanda straddled her, punching her head, on the muddy ground.
Eyewitness Thomas Barlow said: "There was a scuffle going on. Everyone was in a circle like in a school fight. There were 10 or 12 people.
"I didn't see how it started. As I walked closer I could see someone was on the floor with a female on top of them.

"The female on the floor had her hand over her face. The other female straddled across her punching her to the head."
The Penberthys, of Barry, claimed self defence but were convicted of assault at Cardiff Magistrates Court.
They will be sentenced next month.
