Meghan Markle ‘recruits Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh as wedding fixer and could pick her as bridesmaid’
MILLIE Mackintosh is helping Meghan Markle organise her wedding and she could even be chosen as one of the bridesmaids, it's been reported.
The reality TV star is understood to have grown close to Prince Harry's fiancee since being introduced by a mutual friend and before the pair began dating in July 2016.
The pals spent time together at Soho Farmhouse members' club in Oxfordshire that summer, with Meghan posting several pictures of them together on Instagram, where she gushed: "The best afternoon with Millie Mackintosh. So proud of you darling."
With her family and friends spread across the US and Canada, Meghan has reportedly turned to her London-based pal for help in planning her upcoming wedding.
A royal insider told the : "Some very knowledgeable people are saying she is actually being considered as a bridesmaid.
"While I would personally find that surprising, as members of the Royal Family tend to choose the children of their closest friends and relatives, Millie couldn’t have been more hands-on with helping Meghan organise the wedding so far.
"They have a really close relationship and Millie has been a real source of support to Meghan during her move from Toronto and her new life in London."
Their friendship is the latest example of how the stars of Channel 4 reality show Made In Chelsea (MIC) have formed surprisingly close relations with the Royal Family.
Last year, Pippa Middleton married hedge fund manager James Matthews, whose brother Spencer was on the programme and best man at their wedding - attended by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as Meghan and Harry.
Millie was formerly married to rapper Professor Green, who is friends with Prince William due to a shared interest in mental health issues.
Her former co-star Chloe Green, daughter of Topshop tycoon Sir Philip Green, is pals with Princess Beatrice, whose sister Princess Eugenie is friends with Ollie Proudlock from MIC.
Eugenie also one dated Ollie's co-star Hugo Taylor, who is now engaged to Millie.
Meghan and Harry are due to marry at Windsor on May 19 - though the final invite list is yet to be finalised – so beyond knowing that the likes of The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William will be invited, it's all still to play for.
Harry is likely to invite Tom Inskip and Guy Pelley, as well as Army comrades who he served alongside in Afghanistan.
