“I'm mortified. This twisted f**k made my life hell and the police were informed yet did nothing about it.

Stimpson threatened to drown Alexandra, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs in a swimming pool and slashed her car tyres.

She added on Facebook: “He did loads of strange stuff.

“He used to follow me up town and push and grab me and make up strange stories in his head.

“He used to threaten me as well saying loads. So I can only imagine what he used to do and say to her."

Slamming police she said: “That's what has made me angry.

“It's always too late. I can't imagine what she had go through with him. Honestly he needs help.

“I honestly did considering he slit my tyres on my car. He didn't know I wasn't coming home that night.

He needed locking up when I reported him."

Another ex Leah Hubbard dated Stimpson for three weeks but later branded him “her stalker” after he watched her on a night out after their split.

Stimpson ambushed Molly, 23, with a kitchen knife in a shopping centre car park on June 29, last year.

The warehouse worker, 25, stabbed the Kent University student — who he met on Tinder — more than 75 times in her Citroen C2.

Frightened Molly had twice told Kent Police he was stalking her. Officers spoke to him twice but left him free.

Stimpson had previously been reported three times to Staffordshire Police by another ex who he pestered and threatened to drown.

A review into how Kent Police handled Molly’s fears and how Staffordshire Police dealt with Alexandra’s is being carried out.

In court Alexandra told how Stimpson "just sat" with her and told her "not to speak to any men" because he "didn't like it".

She said: "He looked a bit uneasy and a bit on edge, I was a bit wary" before getting 25 missed calls from him.

She added: “He started off normal but then got a bit possessive.

"He took pictures of me asking why I was wearing certain clothes, sometimes he called me a slag and stuff."

"He was following me around.”

And she told jurors Stimpson had threatened her over text message while she was on holiday in 2013, telling her: “I’m going to fly out and drown you.”

Stimpson also sent her a photograph of her own back garden - despite her never taking him to her home.

He bombarded Alexandra with calls and warned her there was a “surprise" waiting for her.

Alexandra told the court: “I got home and all four tyres of my car had been slashed top to bottom.”

Judge Adele Williams branded Stimpson “narcissistic and supremely callous” and for the “cruel, calculated and cowardly” attack.

"This was an act of wickedness. You took away Molly's life, quite deliberately in the most vicious fashion.

"You slit her throat while repeatedly stabbing her. You did this because she had brought the relationship with you to an end."

Molly's mum Joanne, 58, said in a statement outside Maidstone crown court: “We are serving a lifetime of pain, anguish and loss.”

The heartbreaking tribute by Molly's family

The last six months have been horrid beyond belief.

We couldn’t have got through it without the love and support of family and friends.

The number of Molly’s friends has staggered us, the like of which we have never known. Those that have visited and shared in our pain have been a great help.

We would like to thank Kent Police for their diligence collecting and collating the evidence. We would also like to thank the prosecution team for expediting the due process of the law.

The full extent of the digital stalking of Molly by Joshua Stimpson may never be known.

We would like to thank Benjamin Moreton for his brave efforts at the carpark when he tried to intervene, and hope one day to thank him personally.

The contrast in morality between these two people could not be more profound.

However, in light of this case, we feel that there needs to be more awareness over the dangers of stalking and the need for people to report any concerns over stalking to the police.

The verdict has brought us a small measure of comfort, but it seems that nothing will take away the pain or allow us to come to terms with our Molly being taken from us. We are serving a lifetime of pain, anguish and loss.

This has affected so many people’s lives and our hearts go out to each and every one of you.

Our focus now turns to making sure Molly will live on through The Molly McLaren Foundation, helping people with eating disorders.

Thank you all for your ongoing support with this.

A light has gone out in all of our hearts but shines bright as a star forever glowing.

We love you Molly.

Stimpson, of Rochester, admitted diminished responsibility manslaughter over his knife frenzy in Chatham after he followed Molly to her gym.

He denied murder but was convicted by a jury. Both police forces are now being investigated.

He was led from the dock to applause and a shout of: “Go on, you b*****d.”
