The dad-of-one says he decided to perform as the loveable accident-prone oaf because of own his resemblance to the Brit comedy legend.

Slapstick humour is popular in Thailand and Mr Bean is a huge star across Asia - where his lack of spoken lines mean his comedy transcends national boundaries.

And Mongkol wowed judges on Thailand's Got Talent with his act in 2016, leaving the audience in stitches.

Now he appears in adverts, is hired to attend red carpet events and also does charity work.

Mongkol, who has a 23-year-old daughter, said: “I decided to perform as Mr Bean because kids and adults in Thailand love him.

“My family and friends told me I should definitely go on TGT. It was an incredible experience and the work has come flooding in.

“I have made a fair amount of money from the shows and it has made my life change so much.

“I love the performances of Mr Bean, I'm a huge fan.”

Rowan Atkinson shot to global fame after his teddy-carrying character aired on British TV in the 1990s.

And Mongkol revealed he hopes to one day meet his idol.

He said: “I do not know if Rowan Atkinson has ever seen my videos, I have not talked to him yet.

“If I did I would thank him so much.”
