THIS shocking video shows a dad confront a woman who reportedly tried to kidnap his son from the family's back garden.
The Australian man detained the woman, who broke into his home in Leumeah, New South Wales, by climbing over a roof.
As he films the woman, who is barefoot, he says: "I just caught this lady in my backyard, trying to snatch my little boy.
"The police are on the way.
"And they said I can detain you while you're in my back yard."
The woman, who asks what the date is, keeps referring to the man's daughter "daughter" before the man shouts: "That’s my son."
He added: "I'm entitled to detain you, you're trying to snatch my baby."
Chillingly, the woman replies: "I know the truth."
Two young children are seen watching the conversation from a nearby swing set.
The footage was taken on Australia Day, the official national day of Australia and celebrated annually on 26 January. It marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson in New South Wales.
The woman was then arrested by a plain clothes officer.
New South Wales police confirmed to Yahoo! Seven News that the woman was taken to a nearby hospital for a mental health assessment but was not been charged with any offence.
Earlier this month a horrific viodeo emerged of a newborn baby boy being snatched from hospital as he slept next to his mum.
The video shows how an unidentified woman sneaked into the maternity ward in India and carried the child away, just six hours after he was born.
