A YOUTUBER whose ex-boyfriend put films of them having sex online told This Morning she felt "vindicated" after winning the landmark legal battle.
Chrissy Chambers also told the ITV breakfast show that her ex-boyfriend's actions "came out of nowhere" and left her with anxiety, depressions and post traumatic stress disorder.
The American vlogger, who won the lengthy legal battle on Wednesday, had a romantic relationship with the anonymous UK resident from 2008 to 2000.
She told viewers how she had moved on with her girlfriend Bria Michelle Kam, who she proposed to on winning the lengthy legal battle on Wednesday.
But in December 2011 and January 2012 DCR uploaded six films to a profile on porn site.
The titles of three of the films contained Ms Chambers’s full name and two of them contained her age at the time of filming.
Chrissy, who is based in LA, told how her 50,000 strong YouTube following had started called her a "whore" and a "bad role model" when the films came to her attention 19 months later, in June 2013.
"I had to google my name, there popped up a video, my heart just sank and my world came crashing down around me," she said.
"I hadn't been with my boyfriend for years it came completely out of nowhere, I had moved on with my beautiful girlfriend with my work and everything and he tried to ruin everything.
"I went right to law enforcement once I had the courage to speak out."
In the landmark revenge porn case, Chrissy brought her ex-boyfriend a claim for breach of confidence, misuse of private information and harassment at London’s High Court.
Along with losing subscribers and advertising revenue from the YouTube channel BriaAndChrissy she runs with her girlfriend, Chrissy said the porn had a far more sinister impact on her life.
"I became an alcoholic by the time I was 23, I was diagnosed with PTSD, I had night terrors and sleep paralysis so I can't wake up from the nightmares," she explained.
"I have anxiety, depression, every man I see I have to come up with a plan about how to protect myself if he attacks me.
"I am constantly worried, even getting out of the shower and looking at myself in the mirror is a trigger."
Speaking on the couch alongside psychologist Emma Kenny, Chrissy reflected on her tormentor.
"I think he lives in his own sort of hell and will do for the rest of his life," she said.
"I definitely feel vindicated [from the High Court victory].
"I got some of my dignity back but I would describe it as having been imprisoned by this case for years and somehow being unchained from the shackles."
Looking over to her beloved fiancée standing behind the cameras, Chrissy explained why she proposed to Bria on the steps of the Royal Courts of Justice.
"She's been with me for six years but four and a half of those have been dedicated to fighting my ex," she said.
"Having this support, this rock, my foundation - I didn't want to waste another minute."
