MEGHAN Markle became Her Royal High-fiveness as she broke protocol while meeting the public yesterday — and even had a group hug.
Centuries of royal tradition melted as the American actress brought the warmth of modern celebrity to adoring crowds.
She also wrote in one child’s autograph book — breaking long-standing no-signature rules — shook hands and posed for selfies.
She was mobbed by thrilled schoolkids at a leisure centre in gang-blighted suburb Tremorfa — once considered so dangerous that it was boycotted by taxi firms.
Prince Harry sparked a near- stampede when he told the youngsters at the Star Hub: “Everyone give Meghan a group hug — go.”
The couple watched the youngsters street dancing and one boy sparked laughter when he shouted out “are you married yet?”
Earlier, former Suits star Meghan revealed Prince Harry is a feminist as the couple toured Cardiff Castle and chatted to crowds.
Jessica Phillips, 23, said of Meghan: “She was so lovely.
"I said it was really lovely to have a feminist in the Royal Family and she said, ‘Harry is a feminist too’.”
The revelation means Harry joins Barack Obama and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau among leading men who have declared feminist beliefs.
Meghan made her way to the castle along lines of cheering fans from as far away as America and India.
She took so long to talk to them that Harry was soon up to 20 yards ahead of her.
Meghan sprang a fashion surprise by wearing non-matching earrings.
In her right ear was a tiny, arrow-shaped diamond stud earring by California-based designer Zofia Day, which she wore on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine in October.
In her left ear was a line of three gold stars, thought to be Gabriela Artigas Triple Shooting Star Earrings, costing about £209 a pair.
She made a statement with her outfit too — picking local clothing line Hiut Denim.
Her Hiut trousers were thought to be £175 black Dina skinny fit high-waisted jeans.
She paired them with a black £1,350 Stella McCartney coat, a jacket by Theory, a £295 DeMellier Mini Venice handbag and Tabitha Simmons Kiki Boots.
On just her third royal engagement, Meghan agreed to sign a schoolgirl’s notebook — despite the fact that royals normally say ‘no’.
