Home and Away star Jessica Falkholt fights on as life support turned off a day after funeral for three family members killed in Boxing Day crash

HOME and Away actress Jessica Falkholt is still fighting and clinging on 24 hours after her life support was switched off.
Jessica, 28, had been in a critical condition at St George Hospital, New South Wales, after she was badly injured in a horror smash on Princes Highway.
Her life support was switched off one day after the funeral for her sister Annabelle, 21, and parents Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60.

Yesterday the local media the driver of the other car involved who also died in the crash, had previously had a nine-year driving ban and at least 10 convictions for driving while disqualified.
Craig Anthony Whitall, 50, was driving a four-wheel-drive when he crashed into the Falkholt's family car.
Jessica's parents Lars, 69 and Vivian, 60 died instantly at the scene.
Her younger sister Annabelle, 21, died three days later.
Ms Falkholt's heartbroken relatives had kept a vigil beside her hospital bed hoping for a speedy recovery.
Officers could not confirm if Whitall, who also died at the scene, had been using his mobile phone at the time of the crash.
The remains of those killed in the crash were so badly burned, they had to be identified by their dental records, reported.
Witnesses said they saw Whitall's white Toyota Prado cross the central line of the road twice before it smashed into the car carrying the family.

Coroners will now try and determine whether Whitall’s drug use caused the crash.
Hero motorists described how they pulled Jessica, who played Hope Morrison in the TV soap, and Annabelle from the wreckage as the vehicles were engulfed in flames.
The onlooker said: "I was one of the first on the scene to this car accident, and to say it was horrific is a massive understatement. Three deceased and two critical."
