US President Donald Trump has been mocked by his critics on social media after he appeared to stumble his way through the national anthem last night.
Footage appears to show him suffering a major brain fade and forgetting the lyrics to The Star-Spangled Banner during a college football game in Georgia.
Americans are very patriotic and singing the national anthem is drummed into everyone in school, with most citizens being able to to recall the words off by heart.
But when it was time to place hand on heart and belt out the famous song, Trump seems to have forgotten the words.
At first he appeared to sing along to “say can you see, by the dawn's early light...proudly we hailed”.
Thereafter it looked like he lost concentration, seemingly mumbling “gleaming” and “stripes and bright stars” and then keeping his lips shut or mouthing garbled words.
To be fair, his mind might be wandering onto other pressing matters like running his country and Kim Jong-un’s nuclear missile programme.
Yet singing the national anthem only takes a minute and could be said to be expected of him.
Some of the crowd is said to have booed when it appeared he was stumbling over the words at the College Football Playoff National Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia.
Trump’s critics were delighted and quickly took to Twitter to gloat or simply express their astonishment.
But others on Twitter debated whether Trump's mumbling might be a sign of forgetfulness - or something worse.
Some speculated the 71-year-old might be developing the beginnings of dementia.
Trump’s health has been called into question after author Michael Wolff claimed that the President is increasingly forgetful.
Last month the White House was forced to deny Trump had dementia after he slurred and stuttered during a speech in Israel - and the President has vowed to take a medical test to prove it.
Donald Trump claims he's a 'genius' and 'like really smart' in response to accusations he is mentally unfit to run the White House
