London Bridge terror attack victim was secret perv who kept over 1,000 child abuse images
A LONDON Bridge terror attack victim has been revealed as a secret perv caught with over 1,000 child abuse images.
Adam Harris begged not be jailed because he was repeatedly stabbed by warped jihadis as they carried out their rampage last June.
A JustGiving page was even set up to help his family after the attack and raised more than £7,000 – with the creep branded a “legend” and a “hero”.
The 38-year-old was caught with sickening images and more than 100 videos of children on his phone and computer.
Blackfriars Crown Court heard the images included “very young children – a boy of eleven or twelve, a girl nine or ten and an indecent image of an infant”.
He today admitted three counts of making indecent images of children.
Cops removed 225 category ‘A’ images, 345 category ‘B’ images and 719 of category C images which were downloaded sometime before January 24.
Neil Fitzgibbon, defending, said: “This gentleman, born in 1979, has limited convictions but he was involved in the London Bridge terrorist attack and was stabbed twice in one of the bars where the waitress was stabbed in the back and he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
“You’re dealing with a defendant who has been through the most traumatic experience and I think one would have to step back and say this is someone, having gone through what he’s been through – irrespective of the crime – who requires a pre-sentence report.”
Harris was charged around five months before the attack where eight people were killed and 48 injured when Khuram Shazad Butt, Rachid Redouane and Youssef Zaghba carried out the atrocity.
After he was stabbed, Harris featured on a fundraising page that read: “Adam Harris was severely injured in the London terrorist attacks on June 3.
“He was stabbed during the attack and has undergone surgery at St Thomas’ Hospital.
“Adam showed tremendous bravery to protect friends during the attack.
“This fund is a small gesture of support to help Adam and his family at this difficult time.
“Thank you in advance for your generous contribution. It is greatly appreciated.”
Harris moved back to Northumberland to live with his mum after the horror and was prescribed anti-depressants.
Adjourning sentencing to February 2, Recorder Julian Malins said: “I bear in mind how you were yourself the victim of serious assault and are undergoing treatment for that and I bear in mind that you’re 38.”
