Her family are furious the hospital did not call them before sending her home to an empty house.
Daughter Karen Bye, of Bolton, believed her mother was being kept in hospital.  She said: “I got a call from her next-door neighbour to say, ‘I have got your mum here’.”
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said it instructs taxi drivers to ensure patients enter safely. North West Ambulance Service apologised if Florence’s family felt let down.
