HATE preacher Omar Bakri has been stabbed in a jail brawl between rival Muslim factions.

Bakri, 58, was dubbed the Tottenham Ayatollah after his rants against the West from his North London base.

He suffered wounds to his back and head during the fight between Shias and Sunnis in Roumieh prison in Lebanon, where he is serving life for terrorism offences.

Syrian-born Bakri was rushed to hospital.

Bakri claimed asylum in Britain in the 1980s.

He formed a group backing al-Qaeda and was linked with hatemonger Anjem Choudary. He fled in 2006 and was barred from returning.
