Former Greenpeace chief Stephen Tindale jumped in front of tube train, inquest hears
The dad-of-two, 54, stepped off the platform at Golders Green underground station on July 1
THE former boss of Greenpeace killed himself on a Tube train line, an inquest heard.
Depressed dad-of-two Stephen Tindale, 54, was upset after visiting his mum who had dementia.
Stephen, a voluntary patient at a mental health centre, also feared being sent to jail following an alleged arson.
Twice-married Stephen was with dad Gordon when he was hit by a train at Golders Green Tube station, North London, on July 1.
Stephen was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and much of his early childhood was spent in the Middle East and Africa.
He studied philosophy, politics and economics at St Anne's College, Oxford, then took a master's in politics and administration at Birkbeck College London.

He then went to work for Friends of the Earth, the Fabian Society, the Institute for Public Policy Research and was director of the Green Alliance.
He had survived being hit by a train in a suicide bid in 2006, North London coroner’s court was told.
Verdict: Suicide.
