Chicken nugget obsessed Burcin Mehmet had wanted a cake resembling her favourite food but was thrilled when husband Serk gave her one made from 80 nuggets
A CLUCKY birthday girl was left in a flap after being handed her cake - made entirely from 80 chicken McNuggets.
Chicken nugget obsessed Burcin Mehmet had been hinting at a cake resembling a box of the McDonald's treat but husband Serk decided to go one better.
The 32-year-old made a trip to the fast food restaurant and forked out £17 for 80 McNuggets for her 27th birthday.
He then painstakingly stacked the food and put candles on it for her party on Saturday - leaving Burcin thrilled.
Cafe owner Serk, from Tottenham, North London, said: "My wife has a massive obsession and love for chicken nuggets - she can't enough.
"I wanted to treat her for her birthday so I decided to give her the best present I could think of - a cake made entirely of chicken nuggets.
"I spent about £17 on the McNuggets, which was way cheaper than a normal cake anyway, and used 80 of them.
"I was going to try more but I was worried about it toppling over.
"She was absolutely thrilled and the whole thing was gone in about ten minutes."
Serk said his wife has been "crazy obsessed" with chicken nuggets ever since they first got together four years ago.
The skinny hairdresser munches them two to three times a week and will "comfortably" demolish a 20 box from McDonald's.
Serk even gave Burcin a bouquet made from chicken nuggets for Valentine's Day.
He said: "I love chicken too but I'd much rather get my teeth into a Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder.
"Burcin will only get chicken nuggets though - it doesn't have to even be McDonald's. If we got to Burger King she'll get a Chicken Royale with a side of nuggets.
"It's mental. I even had to put nuggets on my cafe menu for her because she loves them so much.
"We got married in February but thankfully there were no chicken nuggets there that I know of."
