A MUM was left mortified when her daughter’s Christmas present started making sex noises.
Becky Livesey, 24, thought she had bought Ivy-Marie, two, a coveted Hatchimal — this year’s must-have toy.
But she had actually shelled out £45 for a fake version of the furry interactive creature which hatches from an egg.
Becky, a carer from Salford, had seen the toy advertised on online sale site Gumtree.
She said: “When I touched it, it started groaning like it was having sex, like it was really enjoying itself. I was in hysterics.
“I opened it and the toy started trying to peck its way out of the egg.
“I unwrapped it and was gutted to find a mangled, bald version with screws poking out the back where the speakers are.
“It’s disappointing I’ve been cheated because it looked like I was buying the real deal and now I’m stuck with this X-rated version.
“I just couldn’t give that to my daughter so I ended up getting her a kitchen set instead.”
