Firebombs, tear gas and fights as violence erupts at pro-Palestine protests around the world

Nearly 800 Palestinians have been injured as the 'Day of Rage' was launched

'DAY of Rage' protests have continued to take place across the globe following Donald Trump's controversial move to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Angry and violent demonstrations in the Gaza Strip are continuing with airstrikes launched as tensions rise over the US's controversial decision.

On Saturday morning Israeli military said they retaliated against rocket fire from the Hamas group, which runs the Gaza Strip, and killed two Hamas gunmen in the subsequent strike.

Meanwhile protesters in Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank threw stones at Israeli troops, who responded with the use of tear gas.

Nearly 800 other Palestinians were injured yesterday as the 'Day of Rage' was launched.

Muslims across the world have protested Trump's decision since it was announced on Wednesday.

An estimated 20,000 people filled the streets of Jordan, chanting "Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine," according to AFP.

Some 5,000 protesters in Malaysia marched to the US embassy, chanting "Long live Islam," and waving banners which read "Down with President Trump."

Thousands joined demonstrators in Istanbul on Friday evening chanting slogans including "down with America, down with Israel."

Organised by the Turkish Youth Foundation, those at the rally called on Muslims to unite against Trump's actions.

Protests have also spread to Europe, with supermodel Bella Hadid joining around 3,000 demonstrators at the US embassy in London.

Protesters chanted "Free Palestine" and "Hands off Jerusalem," as they waved placards.

In Berlin, demonstrators were seen brandishing Palestinian, Turkish and Syrian flags in front of the Brandenburg Gate, next to the US embassy.
